a-ha ist eine norwegische Popband, die im Jahre 1982 von Pål Waaktaar-Savoy und Magne Furuholmen gegründet wurde. Der Name a-ha bezieht sich auf einen frühen Songtitel der Band. Nachdem die Bandmitglieder einige Wörterbücher überprüft hatten, fanden sie heraus, dass „a-ha“ ein internationaler Ausdruck ist, der Erkenntnis mit positiver Konnotation ausdrückt.
